Short Bio:

Joy Bose is a data scientist currently working for Ericsson Bangalore. He has a PhD from University of Manchester in UK specializing in spiking neural models. He also has a recently completed an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health from King’s college, London, UK. His research interests include spiking neural models, brain computer interfacing, neuroscience of psychology and large language models.

Synopsis of lecture:

In this introductory lecture I will briefly go through the biology behind mental health with a few examples. Some topics: What constitutes mental health and what are its biological, psychological and social basis? Example of addiction. Neuroscience of free will. How to promote mental health with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
